Chhattisgarh: Encounter between police and Naxalites, 1 Naxalite killed

Raipur: In Chhattisgarh, a naxalite is killed in an encounter between police and Naxalites. There was a reward of Rs 1 lakh on the naxalite. The body of the naxalite was recovered by the DRG guard from Birabhatti forests of Sukma. The name of the  Naxalite is Madakam Hirama. On which a reward of one lakh was declared. Two weapons were also recovered from the spot. In view of security, the area has been put on high alert for the time being. Two Naxals surrendered in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

The police had informed this on Sunday. He had said that one of them had a cash reward. Two naxals, Hindma Mandvi and Mangu Mandvi, surrendered in front of Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallav on Saturday evening. In Chhattisgarh, the police department is on a campaign to instill confidence among the people. The police is trying to put pressure on the naxals as well as to reduce the fear of the naxalites in the minds of the people.

The naxalites are being forced to move out of the forests due to increased police pressure. Several senior Congress leaders were killed in an attack by The Naxalites in 2013 in Bastal. Bhima Mandavi, the only BJP MLA coming from Bastar during the recent Lok Sabha elections, was killed.
