Shillong: Meghalaya on Thursday reported 61 new COVID-19 cases, bringing down the number of active cases to 516, the health department said in a bulletin. Meanwhile, the state has also registered 51 new cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cured cases to 81,562.

One person succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll due to COVID-19 infection so far to 1,449. 317 Active Cases in East Khasi Hills, 97 Cases in West Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills 37, Ri Bhoi 29, West Garo Hills 11, South West Khasi Hills 4, East Jaintia Hills 4, East Garo Hills 9, North Garo Hills 2, are South. West Garo Hills 4 and South Garo Hills 2.

India reported 14,348 new Covid-19 cases daily in the last 24 hours, taking the country's case count to 3,42,46,157, the Union Health Ministry said. The death toll due to Covid-19 rose to 4,57,191, with 805 people succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours.
