Bengaluru: Good news has come out for the wine enthusiasts. For wine lovers, wine will be delivered at home. The government is mulling on the proposal of home access service of liquor and a meeting of the concerned department has been done in this direction.

It is also told that the Excise Department's plan is to first serve the home access of liquor through the mobile app in Bangalore city. Later it will be expanded to other parts of the state through liquor shops and shops of Mysuru Sales International Limited. Commissioner of State Excise Department M Lokesh has asked all stakeholders for their views in writing. If there is a consensus on the proposal, then the state government can start implementing this proposal in August. Recently six states including Kerala and Maharashtra have approved the online sale of liquor.

As far as the bar and restaurant owners are concerned, they are against the government's proposal. Bar and restaurant owners already suffering heavy losses due to Corona and have requested the government to withdraw this proposal. The general secretary of the Federation of Wine Merchants Association, Govind Raj Hegde, is also against the government's proposal. He says that for the Bar & Restaurant owners already facing huge problems due to the business being stalled, this proposal is like moving towards very bad days.
