'Oracle' Interested in 'Digital India',plans to expand

Mark Hurd the CEO of Oracle Corporation a $37billion venture which he runs along with Safra Catz. The company’s presence in India is for the last 25 years and has about 40,000 employees based in India alone. The company has shown their interest in further investment in India as the growth rate is very impressive.

When asked about the Digital India Movement by PM Modi he answered, that the Indian PM has a clear thought about digitization, his thoughts directly ties a link to the movement of Cloud Computing.

Further, he added, that this movement only takes us to a new horizon where the view is different, the whole old infrastructure in the present day world has its own expenses, which is difficult and big. Cloud is not just an innovation or not just a small infrastructure, it’s an applications, it’s a platform, its an infrastructure- and when all this are put together it’s a chance to get into a different world and enter a whole new generation of capabilities, which lends a big opportunity.

These were the topic which have shown Mr. Hurd’s  interest in getting depth of India’s techno-sector.
