Bhubaneswar: The global epidemic of coronavirus in Odisha is increasing day by day. On Sunday, 736 new patients have been reported in the state. After which the number of infected in the state has crossed 17,000. After the death of 5 more infected patients, the number of people who lost their lives in this province has increased to 91. A health officer has confirmed these figures.

The official said that after the newly infected cases from 25 districts of the state, the total cases of infection in the state has reached 17,437. According to the information given by the officer, out of these 736 new cases, 481 patients are from different quarantine centers while the remaining 255 patients have been infected due to virus due to contact with infected patients. The state reported the highest number of 755 cases from Corona on 10 July.

On giving information, the official said that three out of five patients died in Ganjam, the worst affected district of Odisha. The death of the remaining two patients was recorded from Sundargarh and Jagatsinghpur districts. He told that apart from this, two other patients infected with Coronavirus have died due to any other reasons.
