Jagannath temple came forward to help in war from Corona, donate 1.51 crores in CMRF

Bhubaneswar: Central and state governments are appealing for help from people and organizations to face the Corona epidemic. Meanwhile, the famous Jagannath temple administration of Puri has donated Rs 1.51 crore to the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) to fight against this disaster. Earlier, 62 temples including Puri Jagannath temple in Odisha had donated Rs 1.37 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF).

In a letter to the Chief Secretary of Odisha, the temple administration said that as per the decision of the managing committee of Shri Jagannath Temple, Puri, 1.51 crore (one crore, 51 lakh rupees) in the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the corona epidemic on behalf of the temple administration. According to the reports so far, the Majhi Gaharani temple in Rayagada, Odisha, the Gopinath Deb temple in Satyabadi and the Tarini temple in Ghatgaon had contributed Rs 20 lakh each.

While the Gorakhnath temple of Jagatsinghpur has donated 10 lakh rupees to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Similarly, Ma Mangala temple in Kakatpur has also donated 10 lakh rupees. Many other temples of Odisha have also cooperated strongly to fight this disaster.
