Japan's veteran women's tennis player Naomi Osaka is worried and uncertain about whether she will be fit for the fourth Grand Slam US Open of the year starting on Monday. The  America Open winner recently withdrew from the final of the Western and Southern Open due to muscle problems. The World's No. 10 player was to play against Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in the final.

Osaka has to play a match with compatriot Misaki Doi in the first round of the US Open. Osaka told the media, Hope I will give myself a good opportunity to recover. He further said, Honestly speaking, I am a bit worried, but at the same time I feel that I have to constantly remind myself that I decided to come here so I should not be worried and I have to play first. Should be happy I am trying to think like this.

Naomi further said, I have never lost in the first round and I do not want to bring such thoughts to my mind either, but I know that it is a possibility. For this reason, I am thinking about giving my best. Due to Corona infection, only 4 players are participating in the top-ten in the US Open women's category.
