Pakistan opener Abid Ali has made history on Sunday. On the last day of the first Test against Sri Lanka, Abid scored a world record by scoring a century. While making his debut in Test cricket, Abid scored his first century, he had earlier scored a century in an ODI match also.

He was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He made his debut against Australia in Dubai in March this year, scoring 112 runs in 119 balls in his first match. The match ended on the fifth day with a draw. In the match, Sri Lanka's Dhananjay D'Silva and Pakistan's Abid Ali and Babar Azam scored centuries. 4 days of the game got rained out in the match but on the fifth day, both teams played one inning each.
