The Pakistan High Commission has said that these visas issued by the High Commission in New Delhi are in addition to visas to Sikh pilgrims coming from different regions of the world. 463 Indian Sikh yatris will travel to Pakistan from June 27 to July 6 to commemorate the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

It may be mentioned that Maharaja Ranjit Singh was born on November 13, 1780 in the Sikhsansi (Nomadosh tribe) family at Gujranwala in modern Gujarati, Pakistan.
