Situated in Pakistan, 80 immigration counters have been erected at the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur for rapid evacuation of pilgrims going to Ardas. A large number of Sikh devotees are expected to visit this holy Gurudwara, seeing that the Pak administration has provided these facilities.

For your information, India and Pakistan had signed an agreement last week on the Kartarpur corridor. Under this, devotees going there will not need to get a visa. According to the agreement, 5000 Indian devotees will be allowed to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib daily, where the founder of Sikhism Gurunanak spent the last 18 years of his life. The Kartarpur Corridor is scheduled to be duly opened by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on November 9.

According to media reports, Pakistan's Ministry of Internal Affairs has made three entrances for the convenience of devotees coming from India. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will send a list of the evacuation of Indian pilgrims to the Indian Border Security Force ten days in advance. Apart from this, the scanners' copy of their passport will be available to the authorities when the devotees reach there. Indian and Pakistani devotees will have to undergo biometric screening before entering the gurdwara. Those whose passports are blacklisted will not be allowed to go.
