Paralympic champion Krishna Nagar has won 3 gold medals at the 4th National Para-Badminton Championships, maintaining his superb rhythm. Nagar, who is in the category of small-status disability, has also bagged his third medal at the ongoing Championships in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. Nagar has once again reiterated his feat of the 2019 National Championships by winning gold medals in singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles.
He easily defeated Sudarshan 21-12 21-12 in a just 20-minute bout in the men's singles 'SH6' category. The mixed doubles pair of Nagar and Nitya Sare defeated Dhinagaran and Latatai Umrekar in 17 minutes. After which in the men's doubles, they defeated Dhingaran and Shivrajan in a 35-minute bout with King Magotra in 21-15, 21-15.
In the other match, Nitish Rana of Haryana made a big upset. He defeated Paralympic gold medal winner Pramod Bhagat 21-17, 21-19 to advance to the final of the men's singles 'SL3' category.
