New Delhi: Soon after, NDA's former ally Shiromani Akali Dal leader Prakash Singh Badal has spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He says, "100% of the farmers' crop should be purchased at the minimum support price". All these things were said by former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday. He told PM Modi, "It is said to take steps towards resolving the demands of farmers."

He says that this law should be abolished immediately, showing "prevalence" in agricultural laws. He has demanded on his behalf that 100% purchase of the produce of the farmers should be purchased at the minimum support price as per the Swaminathan formula and it should be made a statutory right of the farmer. The farmers had asked for the closure of India today during their demonstration. India is closed on 8 December. In many places, people have supported it and closed shops.

There are many people who are not in support of it at all. Earlier, Prakash Singh Badal also wrote a letter in which he stressed the need for a liberal, secular democratic approach to solve all the problems facing the country. Furthermore, in his letter, he had cited the days of emergency and "dictatorship" and demanded Prime Minister Modi's personal intervention to resolve the deadlock.
