NEW DELHI: Patna Pirates beat Tamil Thalaivas24-23 in a thrilling match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2019. Tamil Thalaivas, adorned with stars like Mandeep Chiller, Rahul Chaudhary and Ajay Thakur, suffered a weak red-and-final loss. In a thrilling match at the NSCI SVP Ground in Mumbai, Ajay Thakur of Thalaivasfailed miserably.

They failed to score points for the team. Rahul Chaudhary scored 5 points but that was enough. Patna's team was ahead in the entire match and in the end too, they scored more. Thalaivas made a lot of effort but wasn't able to reduce the winning gap with consecutive points. By the 32nd minute, Patna's team was ahead 20-16 and the way it looked like it would strengthen the points lead on Thalaivas.

The three-time winner scored, but they couldn't stop Thalaivas from scoring. Thalaivas reduced the points gap to 21-24 in the 39th minute. They tried to beat Patna's Pradeep Narwal's Red by a failed match, but the tackle came just two points and he lost the match by one point. The match was exciting from the beginning and that is why the first half ended with an 11-11. For Patna, Jaideep scored seven points while Rahul Chaudhary scored five points for Thalaivas.
