Counting has started from 8 am in all the 70 assembly seats for the Delhi Assembly elections 2020. Trends have started coming on Patparganj seat. A total of 141753 votes were cast on this seat in the voting held on 8 February. At the same time, the voting percentage was 61.28. Ravinder Singh Negi is in the fray from BJP. Manish Sisodia from AAP, Laxman Rawat is contesting from Congress. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia trailed by 2183 votes after sixth round from Patparganj assembly seat.
For your information, let us tell you that Patparganj assembly seat was formed in 1993. Then Gyan Chand of BJP was elected MLA from here. Gyanchand defeated Amrish Singh Gautam of Janata Dal. The Congress won this seat the most three times. At present, the veteran leader of Aam Aadmi Party, Manish Sisodia is an MLA. Manish Sisodia is also the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.
Currently, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is in the election field for the third time. He has won the Patparganj assembly seat twice, but this time both the BJP and AAP have fielded their new candidate in front of them. While both are contesting for the first time, both are native to Uttarakhand. Due to which the competition in this assembly constituency has become interesting.
