New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Salman Khurshid's house in Nainital has been reported to be ransacked, stoned and torched. Salman Khurshid said this while posting pictures of his house on his Facebook. According to reports, Salman Khurshid's remarks on Hindutva in his book led to the demolition and arson of his house on Monday (November 15, 2021). Police have reached the spot after the incident was reported and are investigating.

 

 

According to some media reports that the protesters had a BJP flag in their hands and were shouting communal slogans. The pictures posted by Salman Khurshid on Facebook show broken glass as well as something burning in one place. Some people have set fire to the lawn. DGI (Kumaon) Nilesh Anand said, "Rakesh, Kapil and 20 others have been booked. Strict action will be taken against the culprits''.
