Chandigarh, Police arrested a person who was impersonating as an IPS officer. An official spokesperson said, that Rahul Kumar, a resident of Gurdaspur district, has been arrested from Dharmshala, Kangra in Himachal Pradesh.

He added, that the impersonator used to call government officers and tell them that he has received a corruption related complaint against them and demanded money to settle the matter.

Earlier Rahul arrested by Flying Squad of Vigilance Bureau in 2013 and FIRs was lodged against him in Police Station Vigilance Bureau, Flying Squad, Mohali.

After the bail the convict again started calling Government employees in the same manner.

Now, an FIR has been registered against him in Batala under various sections of IPC.
