New Delhi: Right now the election phase is going on in the country, this year, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been continuously attacking the central government due to an increase in prices of petrol and diesel and inflation. Now that the price of petrol has been cut by 18 paise per liter and diesel by 17 paise per liter due to the fall in the prices of crude oil in the international markets, Rahul Gandhi has also taken a dig at the government. He has linked this reduction in prices of petrol and diesel to the assembly elections.

Rahul Gandhi said that the Central Government has made these cuts in the prices of petrol and diesel due to elections. He tweeted, "Because of the election, the central government has made petrol and diesel 17/18 paise cheaper. What will you do with this amount of savings? " It should be noted that earlier Rahul Gandhi was a constant attacker on the central government regarding inflation and high prices. Earlier he had said, "Loot in broad daylight from both hands of the central government ... Recovery of a heavy tax on gas-diesel-petrol".

At the same time, on the petrol-diesel front, the common man has got relief from 24 March amid softening in the prices of crude oil in the international market. After 24 consecutive days, domestic oil companies have changed the prices of petrol and diesel. Prior to this, the prices of petrol and diesel remained constant for 24 consecutive days. The last time the oil companies changed the price of petrol and diesel was on 27 February last month. In different districts, the price of petrol has been reduced by 18 paise per liter and the price of diesel by 17 paise per liter.
