Petrol, diesel prices hikes again in all four metro cities

New Delhi: On Saturday, March 2, 2019, Petrol, diesel prices were hikes again in all four metro cities -- New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai -- following the daily revision in the fuel prices. Interestingly, petrol prices in one of the major cities of the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) -- Gurugram -- saw a reduction of 23 paise on Saturday, March 2, 2019. In New Delhi, the petrol was retailing at Rs 71.94 per litre on March 2, up by 13 paise from Friday's retail price of Rs 71.81 a litre, petrol prices in Mumbai and Kolkata witnessed a similar price hike of 13 paise each.

In Metro cities, in Mumbai, petrol was retailing at Rs 77.57 per litre on Saturday, March 2, as compared to Friday’s retail prices of Rs 77.44 a litre, petrol prices in Kolkata rose by 13 paise to Rs 74.03 per litre on Saturday from Friday’s price of Rs 73.90 per litre, while, petrol prices in Chennai on Saturday, March 2, 2019, jumped by 14 paise to Rs 74.71 per litre from Rs 74.57 a litre on Friday. In Gurugram (Gurgaon), petrol was retailing at Rs 71.89 per litre on Saturday, down by 23 paise from Rs 72.12 a litre on Friday, petrol price in Noida jumped by 26 paise to Rs 71.76 from Rs 71.50.

Similarly, a sharp spike was seen in the diesel prices on Saturday in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Noida while in Gurugram, diesel prices went down by 20 paise. In Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, diesel was retailing at Rs 67.27, Rs 70.47, Rs 71.09 and Rs 69.07 per litre, respectively. In Noida, diesel was retailing at Rs 66.49 per litre while in Gurugram, diesel was retailing at Rs 66.22 per litre.
