New Delhi: The price of Petrol and diesel prices hiked for the second consecutive day across four metro cities in the country. The petrol prices in all the metro cities raised by 5 paise a litre while diesel became costlier by 9-10 paise.
According to data from Indian Oil Corporation website, In Mumbai, petrol price hiked by 5 paise to Rs 76.78, from Rs 76.73 recorded on Monday. Diesel prices were increased by 9 paise from yesterday’s rate price of Rs 69.27 a litre.

State-run oil marketing companies increased the retail price of petrol in Delhi by 5 paise to Rs 71.17 per litre as against Rs 71.12 on Tuesday. Diesel went up by 9 paise to Rs 66.20 in National capital.
In Chennai, petrol is retailing at Rs 73.87, 5 paise increase than Monday’s rate of Rs 73.82 while diesel price climbed to Rs 69.97, 9 paise more than yesterday's price of Rs 69.88 a litre.
