The DGCA said on Tuesday that pilots and cabin crew members would not be able to board the aircraft for 48 hours after the corona vaccination, if there were no side effects after 48 hours, they could resume their service.

The DGCA stated that aircrews would be monitored for 30 minutes after taking the vaccine, aircrews would be medically unfit to fly until 48 hours after vaccination if the pilot experiences any side effects after 48 hours. He will be treated and reviewed by a doctor. The DGCA said that those pilots who could be declared fit for flight duties were asymptomatic without medication and received a medical care certificate to that effect if their health remains poor even after 14 days of vaccination. Then a 'special medical examination' will be required to ascertain fitness.
