Kolkata: After Prashant Kishore, who played a key role in Mamata Banerjee's (Didi) TMC's defeat in the West Bengal assembly elections, met NCP chief Sharad Pawar, there was a lot of speculation. After Prashant Kishore (PK) had a meeting with Pawar, there was speculation that the party might give him some important responsibility. However, these speculations have now been put to rest by NCP leader himself and Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik. Malik has made it clear that Prashant has not been given any responsibility in NCP. Malik has also said that all opposition parties in the country are going to unite against the BJP.
Why did Prashant Kishore meet Pawar?
NCP spokesperson and Minority Minister Nawab Malik spoke about the Pawar's and PK meeting, Prashant Kishore is a political strategist. He has a different experience. He has apprised Sharad Pawar of that experience and the political situation in the country. Malik further said that Pawar wants to gather all opposition parties in the country and he has also expressed it. Talking about the Bengal elections, the NCP leader said, Sharad Pawar was supposed to go to Bengal before the West Bengal elections but could not go due to ill health but many opposition parties in the country are going to come together. Nawab Malik did the year that NCP is trying to form a strong front against BJP and it will be done in the near future.
The meeting between PK-Pawar lasted for three and a half hours:-
NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Prashant Kishore met last day amid growing political turmoil in all the states. The meeting between the two lasted for about three and a half hours. After this visit to Pawar's house in Mumbai, a number of estimates were made. Though there was no immediate comment on the meeting, it was believed that the two had met for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
