Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the program of Bengal today. During this, he spoke many things. First, the PM started his address in Bengali. He said, 'The power of devotion is such that I am not in Delhi but in Bengal. When the blessings of Mother Durga, the whole country becomes Bengal. People from the land of Bengal have served Mother Bharati with weapons and scriptures. With this, he further said, 'The message of self-reliant India will also be successful from Bengal itself. Constant work is being done for the rapid development of Bengal, 30 lakh houses have been built under PM Awas in Bengal. Under Ujjwala scheme 90 lakh women were given gas connections, four crore bank accounts were opened in Bengal.

In his further address, the PM said, 'Metro project in Kolkata has been expedited. The central government has accelerated the development work of the states of Northeast India. Bengal can become the center of all these. With peace we have to carry forward the brotherhood and work for the unity of the country.

With this, he further said, 'Women power has the strength to overcome all challenges. Everyone should stand by them, this is the thoughts, sanskars and resolutions of the BJP. The campaign of women empowerment is going on in the country. There should be a law against triple talaq or accounts in the name of women in Jan Dhan Yojana. Whether to construct toilets or deliver cylinders in LPG under Swachh Bharat, the government has worked to promote women. The government is vigilant for the safety of women, a provision of the death penalty has been made for those who misbehave. Apart from this, PM Narendra Modi said a lot which was in the interest of the people of Bengal.
