Today is the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The day is observed as the Good Governance Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi  is all set to pay his tributes at Atal Ji's samadhi, Sadaiv Atal where a number of events will also be held across the nation.

President Ramnath Kovind also recalled BJP stalwart as saying ,” the Remembering our former Prime Minister and a true Indian statesman, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on his birth anniversary. Atalji will always live on in the hearts and minds of the people of our country,” He tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this occasion  will inaugurate the Bogibeel Bridge in Assam today . The Bogibeel Bridge on Brahmaputra river marks a historic milestone towards achieving the goal of New India.
