SOLAPUR:In a big development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed keys to 15,000 homes at the Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur, Maharashtra. The beneficiaries included handloom workers, vendors, power loom workers, rag pickers, beedi workers, and drivers.

Expressing his joy, PM Modi inaugurated the largest society under the PM Awas Yojna and reminisced about his childhood wish to live in such homes. He stated, "It gives immense satisfaction when the dreams of thousands of families are realized, and their blessings become my greatest wealth."

Furthermore, PM Modi dedicated over 90,000 houses completed under PMAY-Urban on the same day.

The Prime Minister, currently in Maharashtra's Solapur, laid the foundation stone for eight AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) projects, collectively valued at approximately Rs.2,000 crore in the state.

During the event, PM Modi initiated the distribution of the first and second installments to 10,000 beneficiaries of PM-SVANIDHI in the state.

Reflecting on the past decade, Modi shared that the government had deposited Rs.30 lakh crore into the bank accounts of beneficiaries through direct transfers. He proudly announced that 25 crore people have moved out of the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category in the last ten years.

Looking ahead, PM Modi emphasized the need to empower the 25 crore individuals who successfully emerged from poverty against all odds in the next five years.

Expressing determination, the Prime Minister aspired to position India among the top three economies globally. He credited the government's Jan Dhan Scheme for providing millions of poor people with bank accounts, making them eligible for various loan benefits like PM SVANIDHI.

Modi asserted that the intent (niyat), policy (niti), and commitment (nishtha) of his government are clear, unlike the previous administration. He emphasized that policy is designed to empower people, and commitment is directed towards the nation.

Drawing attention to the close ties between Ahmedabad and Solapur, PM Modi mentioned sharing meals with the Padmashali community from Solapur, currently residing in Ahmedabad.
