Thrissur, India - In a heartwarming encounter at Guruvayur on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Jasna Salim, a gifted artist renowned for her exceptional painting skills. The meeting left PM Modi visibly moved as he expressed deep appreciation for Jasna's unwavering devotion to Lord Shri Krishna.

Hailing from Koyilandy, Jasna Salim, a homemaker, has become a prominent figure with over 500 exquisite paintings of the divine infant Krishna to her credit. Her artwork has gained acclaim both within and beyond the state, attracting a substantial number of admirers and buyers.

Jasna has been generously gifting her portraits of little Krishna to the revered Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple in Thrissur for several years. However, due to traditional norms and customs, she has been unable to enter the shrine or present her creations before the sanctum sanctorum.

The artist, respecting the temple's restrictions on non-Hindus, has found creative ways to offer her paintings. During Vishu and Janmashtami days each year, she either places her artwork near the hundi at the temple's entrance or hands it over to the shrine staff.

An intriguing aspect of Jasna's artistic journey is that all her paintings, whether on canvas or glass, exclusively feature one theme – infant Krishna with his butter pot. She revealed, "I can paint only Lord Krishna with perfection; I do not know the reason. I am actually an accidental artist and have no professional training. I started painting all of a sudden six years ago when I was pregnant and was under bed rest after an accident."

Jasna Salim's unique talent and dedication to depicting the innocence of little Lord Krishna have not only touched the heart of Prime Minister Modi but also garnered widespread admiration from art enthusiasts and devotees alike.
