New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised Rs two lakh in relief for the kin of those killed in an explosion at a plant in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday.

According to a senior district official, at least seven persons were killed and 12 others were injured when a factory in Una district where firecrackers were being manufactured exploded. The next of kin of those who died in the sad factory incident in Himachal Pradesh would each receive Rs two lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF). The injured will receive Rs. 50,000," the prime minister announced on Twitter.

Modi also expressed his condolences for those who died as a result of the explosion. On Twitter, he stated, "I convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives in this accident." The prime minister also wished those injured in the disaster a swift recovery.
