Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Katrin Jakobsdottir of Iceland on Wednesday ahead of the 2nd India-Nordic Summit in Copenhagen.

This was the first time the two leaders met. Both presidents also addressed ways to strengthen collaboration in sectors such as innovation, climate technology, climate action, green hydrogen, space, defence, civil aviation, the Arctic, polar research, sustainable mining, and trade and economic relations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on the final part of his three-day European tour, holds bilateral meetings with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store before the India-Nordic Summit on Wednesday.

Following the bilateral discussions, PM Modi will attend the India-Nordic Summit in Denmark before flying to Paris on Wednesday to meet newly re-elected French President Emmanuel Macron as part of his three-day European tour. The Prime Ministers of Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, and Norway will attend the second India-Nordic summit and will follow up on the first summit held in Stockholm, Sweden in 2018.
