Lucknow: Security arrangements are being made for the arrival of PM Narendra Modi on December 25 in Lucknow amidst the chaos in Uttar Pradesh against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). In his brief visit, Modi will unveil the life-size statue of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee installed at the CM Secretariat 'Lok Bhavan'.

December 25 is also the birthday of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. PM Modi will reach Lucknow by a special plane at around 3 pm and reach Lok Bhavan directly from there. He will address the function after unveiling the statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Apart from state Governor Anandi Ben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath, defense minister Rajnath Singh is also expected to be present on the occasion. The Prime Minister will leave for Delhi at around 4 pm.

This will be PM Modi's first visit to Lucknow in his second term. Authorized sources have said that apart from unveiling the statue, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University being established in the name of the former Prime Minister. For the establishment of this new medical university, 50 acres of land has been allotted in Chakanganjia.
