PM Modi set to open ‘Dwarka Expressway’ today: Plan your travel with Delhi traffic advisory - Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to kick off 112 national highway projects valued at Rs.1 lakh crore in Gurugram today. Among the highlights is the inauguration of the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, aimed at easing traffic between Delhi and Gurugram.

The 19-kilometer Haryana stretch of the eight-lane expressway, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.4,100 crore, is expected to provide significant relief from congestion. Divided into two segments, it spans from Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and from Basai ROB to Kherki Daula, directly linking the IGI Airport in Delhi and Gurugram Bypass.

Ahead of the inauguration, Delhi Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory for March 11, listing road closures, diversions, and alternative routes. Areas around Dwarka are expected to experience traffic regulation from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Commuters are advised to steer clear of routes including Dhulsiras Chowk, Sector 8-9 crossing, Carmel Chowk Sector-20, Janki Chowk near Sector-23 police station, and Pochanpur flyover Sector-23 Chowk during the specified time.

Additionally, traffic near the Transport Authority office, Sector-21 metro station, Pacific Mall cut, Golf Course Road to Dhulsiras Chowk, Bamnoli, and Bharthal Chowk to Dhulsiras Chowk and Chhawla Road will be regulated.

Those planning to visit railway stations, hospitals, or ISBTs are urged to plan their journeys in advance, anticipating potential congestion along the designated routes. The public is reminded to adhere to traffic rules and maintain patience during this period.

To alleviate congestion, commuters are encouraged to utilize public transportation and park vehicles in designated areas. For further updates and inquiries, individuals are advised to check the Delhi Traffic Police's official website, social media channels, or contact at 8750871493, 1095/011-25844444.

Gurugram Traffic Police have diligently released a traffic advisory, cautioning commuters about an anticipated increase in vehicle traffic near Antriksh Chowk due to a rally. Drivers are advised to avoid the Dwarka Clover Leaf route heading towards IMT until 4:00 pm.
