According to a global approval rating released by Morning Consult Political Intelligence, Prime Minister Modi has surpassed US President Joe Biden, UK PM Boris Johnson and many other political figures. Morning Consult' latest approval rating by Political Intelligence is based on data collected from January 13 to 19, 2022.
The approval rating lasts for 7 days in every country. Based on average or adult residents, in which samples vary.' This is not the first time Prime Minister Modi was elected the most popular leader. In May 2020, he topped the list with 84% popularity. However, in May 2021, approval ratings fell to 63%. In September 2021, Prime Minister Modi was again given the status of the most accepted global leader.
Among the same new major global leaders, Mexican President Lopez Obrador was second with a 66% approval rating and has surpassed several top leaders, including Italian PM Mario Draghi, German Chancellor Olaf Sholz, US President Joe Biden, in the graph of popularity. Italy's PM Mario Dragy has a 60% approval rating. His rating increased by 2% since November 2021. While President Biden received 43% of the vote, Brazilian President Zaire Bolsonaro, French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Johnson were voted as the least popular leaders with ratings of 37%, 34% and 26%.
