New Delhi: PM Modi on Sunday announced financial facilities under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund. PM Modi announced various features of PM-Kisan scheme through video conferencing. With this, PM Modi released an amount of Rs 17 thousand crore for more than eight and a half crore farmers under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund in the virtual program.

PM Modi tweeted today and said, 'Today is Halshti, the birth anniversary of Lord Balarama. Wishing all the countrymen, especially the peasant companions, a very happy birthday! On this very auspicious occasion a special fund of one lakh crore rupees has been launched to prepare agricultural facilities in the country. '

PM Modi said that, despite transferring 17 thousand crore rupees as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to the account of eight and a half crore farmer families, I am very satisfied. The satisfaction is that the target of this scheme is being achieved. In the last year and a half, 75 thousand crore rupees have been deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmers through this scheme. Of this, 22 thousand crore rupees have been transferred to the farmers during the lockdown due to corona.
