In Gujarat's Morbi Morbi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 108-foot statue of Lord Hanuman. On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi through  video conferencing to inaugurate a 108-foot statue of Lord Hanuman in Morbi, Gujarat.

"For years, we've seen a similar colossal Hanuman statue in Shimla. The second is currently operational in Morbi. Two additional statues would be erected in Rameswaram and West Bengal, "PM Modi stated.

As part of the 'Hanumanji Char Dham' project, the statue is the second of four statues being created in each of the four directions around the country. The statue was erected in the west, at Bapu Keshvanand ji's Ashram in Morbi.

In 2010, the first statue in the series was unveiled in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The PMO announced that work on the third statue, which would be located in Rameswaram in the south, had begun.

"Ram Katha is also held in many locations around the country. The spirit of Ram Katha connects everybody, unites with devotion to God, regardless of language or accent. This is the Indian faith's, spirituality's, culture's, and tradition's strength "PM Modi added. "When it came to establishing the triumph of good over evil, Lord Rama, despite his abilities, succeeded in bringing everyone along, linking everyone, connecting individuals from all walks of life, and connecting everyone. That is the point of everyone's efforts " he added.

Devotees of Lord Hanuman commemorate the Hindu god's birthday with the festival of Hanuman Jayanti. The festival will be held on Saturday this year.
