Thiruvananthapuram : PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate 3 major technical units of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Kerala today i.e. on Tuesday. PM Modi will also review the Gaganyaan human space flight program during his visit to Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram. It is being said that today the names of the astronauts going to space under the Gaganyaan project may be revealed.

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate a 'Trisonic Wind Tunnel' at VSSC, Semi-Cryogenic Integrated Engine Unit at ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu and PSLV Integration Unit at Satish Dhawan Space Center (SHAR) Sriharikota. VSSC is the main center of ISRO which is an important unit for the design and development of launch vehicle technology.

According to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), through 'Trisonic Wind Tunnel', controlled air flow is done on models of rockets and aircraft to evaluate the aerodynamic characteristics and develop designs. The 'Semi-Cryogenic Integrated Engine Stage Test' unit at Mahendragiri is a world-class state-of-the-art facility that handles large flows of propellant. According to BJP sources, after the official ceremonies, Modi will also participate in the concluding program of the padyatra organized by the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
