New Delhi: The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is starting from today, on this occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind has appealed to the public to follow the Corona protocol, while wishing the people good luck. The President tweeted and wrote Ganpati Bappa Morya! Hearty greetings to all Indians on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. I pray that Ganesha, the Vighnaharta Ganesh, make our efforts against Corona successful and give happiness and peace to all. Let us all celebrate this festival by behaving corona-friendly.

Ganpati Bappa Morya! At the same time, the Home Minister of the country Amit Shah wished the people of India on Ganesh Chaturthi. The 10-day long Ganesh Chaturthi festival will be celebrated with less fanfare amid Corona restrictions and rules. Experts, especially in Maharashtra, have appealed to individuals to be careful about public events. 

Last year too, due to the Corona epidemic, the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi has been banned in many parts of the country. Due to this, the police have imposed a curfew in Mumbai on Thursday under Section 144 of CrPC (CrPC) from September 10 to 19, so that public programs can be banned. Mumbai Police has said that not more than five people can gather at one place. Ganpati procession will also not be allowed. Devotees in Mumbai will have to do darshan of Lord Ganesha online and cannot visit pandals across the city.
