Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a significant two-day visit to Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and Kerala, commencing on Tuesday. The visit aims to witness the inauguration of several developmental projects and engage with the local populace in these regions.

One of the highlights of PM Modi's visit will be the inauguration of a new terminal building at the Tiruchirappalli airport in Tamil Nadu. This modern terminal is anticipated to enhance connectivity and convenience for travelers, marking a significant step in the region's infrastructure development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the 38th Convocation Ceremony of Bharathidasan University in Tiruchirappalli. Alongside him, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister MK Stalin also marked their presence at the event.

In an earlier update, expressing his optimism for the trip, PM Modi mentioned in a tweet, "Over the next two days, I will be attending various programmes in Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and Kerala…I look forward to being among the people of Lakshadweep." He highlighted the significance of developmental projects worth Rs. 1150 crore that are slated for inauguration or foundation stone laying during his visit. These projects encompass crucial aspects such as improving internet connectivity, ensuring access to clean drinking water, promoting solar energy initiatives, bolstering healthcare facilities, and more.

This visit underscores the government's commitment to fostering growth and development across different sectors in these regions. The Prime Minister's engagement during this trip is expected to strengthen the resolve towards inclusive progress and underscore the importance of infrastructural advancements in enhancing the lives of citizens.
