According to the information made public regarding the PM Cares Fund, in the first five days after the formation of this fund, it collected Rs 3,076 crore. Now another big information has emerged about this. PM Modi first contributed Rs 2.25 lakh after PM Cares formed.
The fund was formed on 27 March with an initial donation of Rs 2.25 lakh to deal with the Corona pandemic. According to the report, the people of the country had given Rs 3,075.8 crore to this fund in the first five days till March 31, 2020. However, PM Modi has been contributing in the past. Be it the issue of girl child education or Ganga cleaning. So far, PM Modi has donated more than 103 crore rupees.
In the year 2019, PM Modi donated 21 lakh rupees out of his personal savings to the sanitation workers working in Kumbh. In South Korea, PM Modi was given the Soul Peace Prize. Immediately after this, PM Modi announced to donate prize money of 1.3 crores for cleaning the Ganges. Apart from this, recently the souvenirs he received were auctioned, in which Rs 3.40 crores was collected. This amount is also being given to Namami Gange campaign.
