Lucknow: Farmer leader Pradeep was shot dead in Neemka village of Jewar Kotwali area. Farmer's leader Jewar is said to be close to MLA Dhirendra Singh. The police have taken the corpse and sent it for postmortem. It has been revealed in the Police Investigation that the incident has been carried out due to old enmity. Police said that a girl resident of village Neemka was married about 5 years ago in Ballabhgarh, Haryana.

The villagers told that, a year ago, a boy from the village and the married girl ran away. After which the people of Bihar and in-laws had filed a case against the boy. About 5 months ago, the accused entered and attacked the family in Neemka, and escaped by shooting in the house. Farmer leader Pradeep went ahead to support the poor family. From then on, the culprits were targeting the leader.

On Wednesday evening, under a conspiracy, a person called the leader to a Dhaba on Khurja road, some distance from the village. From where a person took him to the fields, where other culprits were waiting, they surrounded Pradeep and shot him. He died on the spot after being shot in the head and chest. The family started searching for him and filed a missing report at the police station. The investigation of the case by the police is going on continuously.
