On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greeting to the nation on Ram Navami. The Prime Minister took to Twitter and said, "I offer my greeting on the holy occasion of Ram Navami to all the citizens." Along with the tweet in Hindi, Prime Minister Modi posted a clip as well. Meanwhile, on the last and ninth day of Navratri, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar also extended his wishes. "Warm greetings to all on the auspicious occasion of #RamNavami. May the blessings of Lord Rama be upon you all," Parrikar tweeted. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also greeted nation on the auspicious day and said, "I offer my greeting on the holy occasion of Ram Navami."

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his thoughts with the people of the country in his monthly Mann Ki Baat programme. Modi speaks on Ambedkar's ideals, PM said, "The government was working on India's economic growth and fulfilling Dr Ambedkar's dreams. It was Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar who dream of vibrant cities with top infrastructure." We are deeply motivated by Dr. Ambedkar's emphasis on self-reliance, he said. "India is grateful to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar for his vision for irrigation, port development," he said.

Rama Navami is a Hindu festival that is celebrated in order to honour the birth of Lord Vishnu's incarnation, Lord Rama. This day marks the end of nine-day Chaitra-Navratri celebrations, which is celebrated in the Hindu month of Chaitra that falls on the cusp of spring and summer.
