PM Modi inaugurates another checkpost on Indo-Nepal border, through video conferencing

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi and Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli have inaugurated the Jogbani-Biratnagar Integrated Check Post (ICP) on Tuesday through video conferencing. This check post has been prepared by Nepal with the help of India with the objective of simplifying trade and movement of people.

Information about the inauguration of this check post was given by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Monday. This is the second check post between India and Nepal and another check post of this type has been inaugurated in the year 2018. The first check post is on the Raxaul and Birganj borders of Bihar.

On its inauguration, PM Modi said, 'India and Nepal are working on many cross border connectivity projects such as road, rail, and transmission lines. Integrated check posts at key points of the border between our countries are greatly facilitating mutual trade and movement.' PM Modi has expressed the hope that the new year and the new decade should be the golden decade of Indo-Nepal relations and India can take their mutual relations to a higher level with your cooperation and support in this year. Nepal PM also talked about maintaining good relations with India.
