New Delhi: A meeting of the Union Council of Ministers led by PM Narendra Modi has been convened through video conferencing on Friday. The meeting is discussing the ongoing corona crisis in the country. The meeting is attended by Cabinet level Ministers and Ministers of State besides independent charge. This is the first meeting of the Union Council of Ministers since the second wave of corona struck. Earlier also, PM Modi has held several meetings with chief ministers in view of corona.

PM Modi has also discussed ways to deal with the Covid-19 epidemic with government officials, heads of the pharmaceutical industry, oxygen suppliers, heads of the three services etc. Tell us that the number of covid-19 infected people in the country is now being recorded at more than 3 lakhs every day. However, oxygen cylinders, concentraters and other medical help from other countries of the world have now started coming in.

PM Modi had held a meeting with Army Chief General M M Narwane on corona on Thursday and reviewed the army's preparedness. The Army Chief had told PM Modi that the Army has deployed its medical staff in the service of state governments and is also constructing temporary hospitals in different parts of the country. Prime Minister Modi had tweeted, "Reviewed the efforts being made by the Indian Army in the war against corona.
