New Delhi: The monsoon session of Parliament begins today. PM Modi will address the media before the session. The proceedings of Parliament will then be stepped up. PM Modi will speak on several important issues. This session of Parliament will continue till October 1. At present, at least 5 Lok Sabha MPs are suffering from coronavirus and will not attend parliament proceedings.

However, several parties, including the BJP, have issued whips due to some important programmes. Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has said that all MPs will be given corona tests regularly to reduce the risk of corona. This time Parliament will function differently due to the corona epidemic. This time there will be no Question Hour in the proceedings of Parliament, while zero hour will be half an hour. This time there will be no weekly holidays. Corona protocols will remain in place, such as social dissisting, masks, and all precautions.

The election will be held today for the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman. The government is said to be trying to get 11 ordinances passed in this monsoon session. Opposition parties object to 4 ordinances out of 11. The House is also yet to debate the 45 bills.
