Abu Dhabi: Good news for Indian people living in the Gulf country United Arab Emirates (UAE). In fact, the UAE is going to be the first country in West Asia to introduce RuPay cards. According to information, the RuPay card will be presented today during PM Narendra Modi's visit to the Gulf country. With the launch of RuPay card, the problem of Indian people living in the UAE is expected to be solved. The UAE is considered to be the most preferred country for tourists and job seekers in India.

According to Navdeep Singh Suri, India's Ambassador to UAE, "The exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between national payments corporation of India and MERI payments services for setting up technology interfaces for payment platforms in both nations will be done. He said, this will enable the use of RuPay cards at point of sale terminals in UAE.

RuPay card is the first of its kind Indian domestic debit and credit card payment network. This card works on ATMs, POS devices and e-commerce websites. It started in 2012. In the past, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the RuPay card on a visit to Bhutan. Apart from Bhutan, the card has also been launched in Singapore.
