Mumbai: There is no trace of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, who made a controversial statement about Prophet Mohammed. The Maharashtra Police, who is present in Delhi, is looking for a notice to him. Sources in the Maharashtra Home Department said that suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma is not being traced. He said that for the last four days, the Mumbai Police team has been trying to trace Nupur Sharma in Delhi.

An FIR has been lodged against Nupur Sharma at the Pydhuni police station of the Mumbai Police and sources in the Maharashtra Home Department said the police have enough evidence to arrest Sharma. Apart from The Mumbai Police, the Thane Police Commissionerate has also registered cases against Nupur Sharma for his comments on prophet Mohammed.

According to sources, Nupur Sharma was earlier summoned on his email. Now a police team has come to Delhi to give a physical copy. In the summons sent to Nupur Sharma, Mumbai's Pydhuni police has asked him to appear before it to record his statement at 11 am on June 25. The FIR was registered by the Mumbai Police in connection with the Raza Academy case. Nupur Sharma was also summoned by the Mumbai Police. The police asked him to appear before it on June 22. A case was filed against Nupur by a teacher named Mohammad Gufran Khan in Mumbra. Apart from this, a case has also been registered in Thane.
