Police rescued abducted infant case in 24 hours, CM says, 'I congratulate Goa Police'

Panaji: Recently a shocking case came to light from Goa. In fact, a one-month-old child was kidnapped from Goa Medical College and Hospital here, but due to police vigilance, the baby was traced within 24 hours. According to reports, police recovered the infant from the house of a woman (Vishranti Gavas) in Saly village of rural North Goa and the abductor has also been arrested. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has praised the police after the incident took place.

He described the incident as the "biggest search" and praised the police. In fact, he recently said, "I congratulate the Goa Police for successfully leading the biggest operation in the state and for safely rescue ing a one-month-old child within 24 hours. Safety and security of citizens is the top priority of our Government".

What is the matter- In this case, the police say, "The accused woman wanted to tell the newborn as her child. On the other hand, North Goa Superintendent of Police Shobit Saxena said, "Within 24 hours, teams reached Salay village and a suspected newborn was identified as per details. The suspicion was confirmed when the mother also identified the child. The newborn was then rescued and the suspected woman identified as Vishranti Gavas was nabbed. Under the information received, the child was kidnapped when mother Lalita Naik handed over the child to another woman and went to buy samosas from the coffee shop of the hospital premises".

Both the woman and the child were missing as soon as she returned. In this case Naik said she did not know the woman. After all this, the woman left the hospital premises, and hired a motorcycle taxi. Her feat was captured on CCTV cameras and with the help of this she was caught.
