Lucknow: A tragic accident took place in the Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Today (September 6) afternoon, an accident took place near the Hatia police post in the Muthiganj police station area of the city. The roof of a house here suddenly collapsed. Four people have died under the debris, while more than half a dozen are said to be injured. All have been taken to the hospital.  

At the same time, local people, including fire department personnel, are engaged in removing the debris. It is feared that some more people are still trapped under the debris. The deceased are yet to be identified. At the same time, CM Yogi has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to those who lost their lives in the accident and free treatment to the injured. It was raining when the dilapidated roof of the house collapsed in the Muthiganj locality. Some employees of the electricity department had also stood under the roof of the same house to avoid the rain. Meanwhile, the roof of the house collapsed with a loud sound. The house is said to be very old. Employees of the electricity department standing below were also injured after being hit by the debris. After the accident, a crowd of locals gathered there.

At the same time, after getting information about the accident, police and fire brigade vehicles also reached the spot. People trapped in the debris were rescued with the help of locals. Four people died and more than half a dozen were injured. The injured have been taken to Jeevan Jyoti Hospital and SRN Hospital in the city. After some time, DM and SSP have also reached the spot.
