NEW DELHI: On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, which commemorates the birth of Gautam Buddha, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the nation on Monday.
President Kovind said in his message: "Lord Buddha demonstrated the path of nonviolence, compassion, and tolerance to humanity. His teachings are more relevant today than ever before. Let us all agree to follow Lord Buddha's example."
