Lucknow: An FIR has been registered against several senior Congress leaders in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow. The list also includes Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's personal secretary Sandeep Singh, state general secretary Shiv Pandey and in-charge Yogesh Dixit. The trio has been charged with staring at the state property department driver's house and assaulting him.

The complaint stated that three Congress leaders had been peeping into the state property department driver's house for a long time. One night, when the driver protested, he was beaten up by Congress leaders. Somehow, out of their clutches, the driver lodged a complaint with Hussainganj police station. The incident is said to have taken place at 12 pm on Wednesday.

However, there has been no response from any Congress leader in the matter so far. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has also kept silent on the controversy. But the police have certainly started their investigation based on the driver's allegations. For information, the driver of the state property department and his entire family lives in the premises of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee office.
