As India's multi-purpose Cartoset-3 and 13 US satellites reached space successfully, PSLV, the third generation rocket developed by India, completed its 49th flight success. It is now one step away from the fifty. The 49th flight of PSLV, a third-generation rocket developed by India, was completed with six solid rocket strap-on motors. PSLV did this for the 21st time to go into space. According to ISRO, PSLV has so far carried 49 Indian and 209 foreign satellites into space.

According to media reports, PSLV is being used since the first successful launch in October 1994. This left Chandrayaan-1 in 2008 and Mars Orbiter Spacecraft in 2013. Its 49 launches have had two failures so far, the first in the first launch on 20 September 1993 and the second time in 41st launch on 31 August 2017. A fifth launch was made in 2019.

For your information, let us tell you that Cartoset-3 developed by ISRO is the most advanced satellite in the Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) program being used by India till now. IRS-1A was the first Indian satellite of this category launched in 1988, which was launched by Soviet Russia from the Baikonar Center. Through this, India took up work in areas like agriculture, water resources, forests, environment, coastal area and fish industry. India had so far left 24 satellites under the IRS program, out of which only one IRS-P1 failed. Have completed eight missions. The rest are in service. The oldest of these IRS-P6 was launched in the year 2003.
