Puducherry: The number of infected people in Puducherry has increased to 1,26,806 after 64 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in a day in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Health and Family Welfare Service Director S Mohan Kumar informed that out of the new cases, 35 new cases were registered in Puducherry, 23 in Karaikal and six in Mahe.
Meanwhile, health department director Sriramulu has said that no new case of infection has been reported in Yanam. No new case of infection death has been registered in the last 24 hours and the death toll in the Union Territory is stable at 1,844. The number of patients currently undergoing treatment in the Union Territory is 655, out of which 102 are admitted to the hospital and 553 have been isolate in their homes. The number of people who have been infection-free has increased to 1,24,307 in the last 24 hours after 48 more people have recovered.
A total of 10,36,889 corona vaccines have been administered in the state so far, out of which 7,02,067 people have been given the first dose and 3,34,822 people have been given both doses. In Arunachal Pradesh, the total number of infected people has increased to 54,812 on Thursday after 41 new cases of infection were found. Meanwhile, 2 people have lost their lives due to corona infection in Arunachal Pradesh.
