Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh police have registered an FIR against Mahamandaleshwar Annapurna Bharti (Pooja Shakun Pandey) for demanding a ban on Jumei prayers. Annapurna Bharti had termed the Jumei prayer day as a terrorist day. She had also submitted a memorandum to the administration regarding her demands. According to the police, Pooja Shakun Pandey's statement is going to increase enmity between the two religions and create communal tension.

SSP Aligarh IPS Kalnidhi Naithani said that an inquiry into the matter is on and Pooja Shakun Pandey has been given a notice by the magistrate. Additional City Magistrate Aligarh Kunwar Bahadur Singh has asked to reply to the notice within  24 hours. Pooja Shakun Pandey had written a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind in blood. In this letter, she had demanded a ban on Jumei prayers. Pooja Shakun Pandey's statement on social media also went viral. In this statement, she said, "Jumei's day has actually become terrorist day. In the name of worship, the terrorists have been exercised. By making these schemes, they are working to spread disharmony in society and incite the youth. Therefore, on this day, they should come together and stop the molestation of our women and the damage they are doing to the Hindus. Not more than 10 people gather at small mosques and 25 in big mosques.''

Reacting to the Kanpur violence, Pooja Shakun had said, "The violence that took place in Kanpur after the Jumei prayers have now broken our stamina. We have identified some of the developments in history in our letter. In the Jumei prayer, the crowd gathered in the name of Ibadat planned an attack on Hindus. They are working to divide the country. Mahamandaleshwar Dr Annapurna Bharti (Pooja Shakun Pandey) has raised questions on the FIR lodged against her. Sharing the statement of SSP Aligarh, she wrote, "What is the justification for this case against me by the administration? Speaking the truth has also become provocative.''
